X-rays

X-rays remain one of the most accessible and widely used tools for the initial assessment of the musculoskeletal system. They are typically used to diagnose fractures, infections, bone tumours, and structural abnormalities such as hip dysplasia.

They also play a valuable role in evaluating joint conditions, such as osteoarthritis or inflammatory joint diseases.

While X-rays do not directly capture images of soft tissues (like muscles, tendons, or nerves), they remain essential for the rapid and effective evaluation of many osteoarticular conditions, and are often used in conjuntion with MRI for a more comprehensive diagnosis.
