Dr. Juan Sainz de Aja Gómez is a specialist in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, with a particular focus on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, osteoarthritis, musculoskeletal pain, sports medicine, and regenerative medicine.
He earned his medical degree from the European University of Madrid and completed his residency in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at Costa del Sol University Hospital (Marbella). He also holds a Master's Degree in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and Ultrasound-Guided Interventional Procedures from CEU San Pablo University.
Committed to delivering high-quality, innovative patient care, Dr. Sainz de Aja has further expanded his expertise through clinical training at several leading Spanish institutions, including the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit at the University Hospital of Navarra, the National Hospital for Paraplegics in Toledo, the Pain Unit at Málaga Civil Hospital, and the Medical Services of Real Sociedad Football Club. These training experiences have provided him with extensive expertise in neurological and cardiovascular rehabilitation, pediatric orthopedics, sports medicine, functional rehabilitation, injury prevention, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided interventional pain management.
His clinical practice is based on a comprehensive, patient-centered approach that combines thorough functional assessment with musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided interventional techniques to deliver accurate, minimally invasive treatments. He has a particular interest in the comprehensive management of osteoarthritis, tendon and muscle injuries, pediatric orthopedic conditions, regenerative medicine, and exercise prescription as a therapeutic tool. His close involvement in sports further enhances his clinical perspective, enabling him to better understand the needs of physically active individuals and athletes.
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Sainz de Aja is actively involved in research and continuous medical education. He has participated in research projects, presented scientific communications at national conferences, and received several awards recognizing his research contributions. He remains committed to staying at the forefront of scientific advances in order to provide his patients with evidence-based, state-of-the-art care.
